October skies
by admin on Mar.18, 2010, under Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories
A man was sitting in his hot tub on the 4th of October at Moreton, Wirral, looking up at a clear sky when spotted a very bright light which started to ‘go at tremendous speed’ across the sky in different directions. ‘Twelve mysterious orbs’ were spotted shooting over Macclesfield in Cheshire, the witness said that they were moving too quick to be Chinese lanterns, they suddenly rose and disappeared from view. On the 5th of October Tina McGrory saw what looked like a ball of fire heading towards the earth at Glenmavis, Airdrie, Scotland. She reports: ‘Then it stopped and turned into three bright white lights in a triangle formation. It hovered for a while then went slowly changed direction hovered again then shot off into the sky.’ Over in Portsmouth the witness was in his back garden having a cigarette when he saw ‘a bright flame-like colour in the sky. The object looked as if it was a star without the bottom point on it, with an orange light going around it in a circular fashion.’ The UFO went horizontally quite quick across the night sky and it looked as though it was beginning to descend when it finally went out of sight.

Wailing in the Woods
by admin on Mar.16, 2010, under Paranormal & Unexplained stories
“My two friends and I chose to go hiking and camping in a dense wood near my friend Josh’s house,” reports Kenna. “As we were driving on an ancient dirt lane to get to the trail, we stopped at an ancient gas station. As Josh and Jason were fueling up, I wandered into the store part to grab some munchies. An elderly woman at the counter eyed me suspiciously and questioned where we were headed. I told her there was a trail back in the woods where there were supposedly ancient-looking pyramid-type buildings made out of stone. The ancient woman narrowed her eyes at me and shook her head and her next woods chilled me to the bone: ‘There’s no reason for anyone to go back there!’….” Maybe Kenna and her friends should have listened to the ancient crone because, well… read the rest of the tale.
More reasons to dread the woods:

Earth under threat from hidden star
by admin on Mar.15, 2010, under Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories
AN invisible star may be circling the Sun and causing deadly comets to bombard the Earth, scientists said yesterday.
The brown dwarf – up to five times the size of Jupiter – could be to blame for mass extinctions that occur here every 26 million years.
The star – nicknamed Nemesis by Nasa scientists – would be invisible as it only emits infrared light and is incredibly distant.
Nemesis is believed to orbit our solar system at 25,000 times the distance of the Earth to the Sun.
As it spins through the galaxy, its gravitational pull drags icy bodies out of the Oort Cloud – a vast sphere of rock and dust twice as far away as Nemesis.
These “snowballs” are thrown towards Earth as comets, causing devastation similar to the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
Now Nasa boffins believe they will be able to find Nemesis using a new heat-seeking telescope that started scanning the skies in January.
The Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer – expected to find a thousand brown dwarfs within 25 light years of the Sun – has already sent back a photo of a comet possibly dislodged from the Oort Cloud.
Scientists’ first clue to the existence of Nemesis was the bizarre orbit of a dwarf planet called Sedna.
Boffins believe its unusual, 12,000-year-long oval orbit could be clarified by a massive celestial body.
Mike Brown, who learned Sedna in 2003, said: “Sedna is a very odd object – it shouldn’t be there.
“The only way to get on an eccentric orbit is to have some giant body kick you – so what is out there?”
Professor John Matese, of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, said most comets come from the same part of the Oort Cloud.
He added: “There is statistically significant evidence that this concentration of comets could be caused by a companion to the Sun.”

King of all witches
by admin on Mar.14, 2010, under Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories
Witch Magus Lynius Shadee claims he has conjured up a demon to prey on the congregation at the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs in Hills Road, Cambridge. Magus, who claims to be the king of all witches, claims to have summoned the evil spirit to reside in the church and ‘cleanse it’. He said: ‘It’s an elemental, a hunter that will attach itself to an individual, either send them insane or make them depressed. The worst is to cause them to take their physical life.’ Fr Dick Healey called Shadee twisted and added: ‘He should be reported to the police. It’s as if someone came into your home and performed some sort of magic trick without your permission. He’s obviously a bit twisted to perform witchcraft in a church. We will not be performing an exorcism, but I will consider reporting him to the police.’ (Source: Cambridge News: October 2009).

Worshipers sick after eating snail slime
by admin on Mar.13, 2010, under Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories
Devotees of a Miami man claiming to practice a traditional African religion say they had to ingest the mucus of a Giant African Snail that made them ill in the process.
Federal authorities in January raided Charles L. Stewart’s home after receiving complaints.
Stewart has not been criminally charged, but prosecutors and state and federal wildlife agencies are investigating. The Giant African Snail is prohibited in the U.S. without special approval.
Experts say it devastates new ecosystems. The snail grows up to 10 inches long, can reproduce on its own and can even eat plaster.
Stewart says he means no harm, and his religion uses the snails in healing ceremonies.
Followers said they got violently ill, losing weight and developing weird lumps in their stomachs.
