She Was Saying Goodbye…
by admin on Jan.24, 2010, under Phantoms & Monsters
The following is a right personal experience:
In 1977, it was confirmed that my fantastic Aunt Lydie was suffering from lung cancer. The prognosis was not excellent and the doctors stated that she had very small time to live despite the fact that her illness didn’t slow her down. After a stint in the hospital, she returned home and continued her normal routine.
Lydie was my mother’s aunt, my grandfather’s sister and would always open her home and kitchen to the family. The fact is that she practically raised my mother since my grandparents both worked. Her and my uncle owned a well-kept home in the south central Pennsylvania countryside that was surrounded by cornfields and woodlands. When I was a boy, I would take long hikes along the dirt roads as well as hunt for squirrel and deer in their woods. When I’d return to the house, my aunt would have a huge hug and food on the table. I was very close to my Aunt Lydie.
I had been married to my first wife about a year and was living outside of Baltimore, MD. My mother also lived in Maryland but about 15 miles from me. The family kept daily contact with Lydie and we all continued to visit her to make sure the house was maintained even though we lived an hour away. Lydie seemed resilient and didn’t let her illness get her down.

The Mystery of Santa Rosalia
by admin on Jan.18, 2010, under Phantoms & Monsters
Statement with video: Many witnesses claim they saw Santa Rosalia appear in the caves of the well-known hermit in the ruins in Sicily. Others, but, see an image far from reassuring and admit that they have come across a black hooded figure. The young people recorded these disturbing images.
NOTE: There was a rumor a few years ago that a group of pilgrims disappeared in the cave of Santa Rosalia. Of course, believers would say that this is impossible since saints only represent ‘excellent’. Honestly, I don’t know if the rumor has anything to do with this video. Back in the early 1980’s, I was told of a woman who swore that she witnessed a being in the grotto when she was a child … read more

UPDATE – Paranormal Team Claims Apparition Led Them To Bones
by admin on Dec.04, 2009, under Phantoms & Monsters

I received an email and images in reference to this case:
“My name is Frank Lovoi, Co-founder of H.I.T Men “Haunting Investigative Team of South Louisiana. We are the group that took the picture of the apparition of the ghost and the group that found the bones. The picture was submitted to the newspaper on disc but for some reason was not publicized. It may be for pixilation reasons. We have in our possession the digital memory stick plus copies on disk as well as copies saved on computer in files. What makes this tale unique is that had we not taken these pictures we would have never investigated the house. I really believe that there is a lot more to this tale that will soon come out. I don’t buy the Indian bones theory… but than again I may be incorrect.”
The image: “notice the two sliding glass doors and before you zoom on the picture you will see his arm. Slowly zoom it in and you will see a huge guy in denim coveralls….it is incredible. There was no one there!!! The house is vacant!”
Here is the posting link from 11/29/09 – Paranormal Team Claims Apparition Led Them To Bones
NOTE: the following images are those of the bones found in the house. I have since learned that a huge sawmill (Dibert, Stark & Brown Cypress Co. Ltd. – Donner, Louisiana) once stood on this property. Spiritual consultant, SW, examined the images and states the following. “As for the photo, that is not overalls the man is wearing. It is a blue apron. I immediately picked up on that he worked around animals… a lot. Either as a farrier (blacksmithing/horseshoeing), or as a butcher… probably both. See how powerfully built he is? That tells me he was used to rough and heavy work.
I need to see some of the bones. I can get more from them, I’m sure… but I don’t get the impression that this apparition was a criminal. He died somewhere on the property… somewhere near that house. The house is just inside an area that is deemed “sacred”. Many native peoples died there, in strife.” If more evidence is forthcoming, I will post here…Lon

For comparison, as you can see in the images below, the apparition is not visible.

SW has forwarded the following comments in regards to the bones and the area surrounding the house:
“I looked at the photos and now as I write to you, I let the thoughts come to me, as they will. Most of those bones appear to be ancient… from a time way past. I keep sensing “out of the ground”. I believe most of those bones were dug up and went there. It is no wonder there are so many restless spirits but I’m sensing the blending of remains. There is a sense of “scattering of pieces”… and… something… dark. Oh… Oh, crap.
I just had a tightening in my throat.
I might add that there were 3 ‘haints’ in the house at the time the photos were taken. One looking out the door and 2 looking out from the window. Terrible mojo. I would warn the investigators.”

Paranormal Team Claims Apparition Led Them To Bones
by admin on Nov.30, 2009, under Phantoms & Monsters
dailycomet – The mysterious vision of a man with no lower body and a pair of overalls draped atop his broad shoulders that they saw near a white house built on a reported Indian burial ground raised their antennae that something weird was afoot.
And, one week later, when the members of the local paranormal investigations group H.I.T. MEN went inside 234 Fandal St. in Gibson, they were not disappointed.
While touring the house as prospective buyers last Saturday, Jim Boudreaux and brothers Benton and Frank Lavoi say they found about 100 human bones scattered across the basement floor and told authorities.
“This guy was trying to right a incorrect,” Jim Boudreaux, 43, said of the ghost. Boudreaux’s American Indian ancestry made him mad the bones were not buried years ago, he added.
Louisiana State University’s anthropology department is examining the bones. Once their analysis is complete, the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office will determine whether the house should be investigated as a crime scene.
In the meantime, LaRussa Real Estate Agency of Houma has taken the four-bed, two-bath home valued at $125,000 off the market, according to the company’s owner, S.P. LaRussa.
“Nobody’s going to buy this type of house if it’s got these types of problems,” LaRussa said Friday afternoon.
Members of the H.I.T. Men, which stands for Haunting Investigative Team, initially became interested in the house while helping a friend look for property to keep his horses. When they saw a picture of the property, it piqued their interest because it looked like it was built upon an American Indian burial ground, they said.
The Lavoi brothers viewed the property Nov. 14. They walked around the house’s outside and took pictures, as is their custom, but nothing remarkable happened.
Not until they were driving home, that is, and Benton’s son saw a photograph of what appeared to be a man with no legs.
The H.I.T. Men repeatedly viewed the digital image, which was only visible by pressing the camera’s zoom button several times. And what they saw convinced them the ghost wanted them to re-visit the house.
LaRussa said his sales agent, whose name he did not know, had no thought the men performed a paranormal hunt inside the house. After all, they toured the house under the guise of interested buyers.
The H.I.T. Men, who refused to identify the agent, said the woman did not know their intent and say nothing illegal took place.
Once inside the house, the trio walked into the basement armed with digital cameras, handheld audio recorders and courage.
“That looks like bones,” said Boudreaux, who recalled feeling nauseated upon entering the house.
Sure enough, it was.
“I was a meat-cutter for about 10 years, and I know there ain’t no femur bone in a pork chop,” Benton Lavoi, 47, joked. But, he added, “I don’t reckon we realized the ramifications of having bones in the house.”
The peaceful house soon became the site of a crime-scene investigation.
Authorities initially said that a real-estate agent showing the house had learned the bones. The H.I.T. Men, but, say they found the bones and have photos as proof.
Now that they’re confident they answered the ghost’s wish, they are hopeful that the bones will be placed where they won’t be disturbed.

READER QUESTION: What is the apparition’s message?
by admin on Nov.28, 2009, under Paranormal & Unexplained stories
“My mother, who has been sick these past three years, says she was seeing people in her room,” says Rosalva. “She would see a tall man with a flower, which he would throw on her bed. She tried to wake up my father, but by then the man would be gone. After a few days, the same man appeared, but shorter and with a dozen roses. We used to reckon that it was because of her medication, but not long ago, the tall man appeared again and this time my mother woke my father and he saw the ghost. My mother doesn’t feel frightened by the ghosts, but she thinks that they are trying to tell her something. We want to know what’s going on.”
Rosalva, I certainly know why you at first thought it was your mother’s medication that was responsible for the things she was seeing. That was my initial reaction, too, until you revealed that your father was able to see the very same apparition…. Read the rest of my response.

Tourists Capture Misty Photo at Former Hanging Tree Site
by admin on Nov.23, 2009, under Phantoms & Monsters

stv – A French couple touring the Highlands claim to have photographed a ghost on the former site of a hanging tree.
The couple claim the spooky figure appears in a photograph they took in the High Street in Fort William, in the West Highlands.
The site – the location of the Ancient Fort’s hanging tree – is said to have been known for ghostly appearances since the tree was chopped down in the 1970s.
Sophie Mager, 32, and Remy Puckey, 40, from Jaux, just north of Paris, did not see the apparition in front of them but were baffled when it appeared in Sophie’s picture.
They were spooked further when locals clarified the spot was the site of the hanging tree, and there had been previous unexplained goings-on there.
The night-time image shows the bright lights of the houses in the town. In front, just before the camera lens, there is a white mist or smoke-like veil blocking the view.
But the couple, who work for ground services agents for French airlines, insist the sky was clear at the time and they have not altered their image in any way.
Ms Mager said: “It was incredible and I swear that it is not a picture with special effects.
“We didn’t see the ghost on the spot, but learned it when we looked on the picture. Many weird things are happening in Fort William.”
Mr Puckey, who had looked forward to the five-day visit to Scotland because of his late grandfather from Aberdeen, said: “We showed it to the staff of the West End Hotel in Fort William, where we were staying. They too found the apparition intriguing – but scary.”
The hanging tree had been utilised in the 18th century by successive governors of the fort for the execution of Highland clansmen who fell foul of their regime.
The tree, which had stood outside the fort walls for 300 years, was felled in the 1970s to make way for the town’s new library and for an outdoor equipment store.
When it was cut down, local people claimed that its demise would bring with it the Gaelic witchcraft prophecy of the “Buidseachd” – pronounced “Bootchach” – a curse of ill omen.
On the morning after Fort William Library was opened alongside where the hanging tree had stood, staff claimed they came in to find the front door ajar, despite having locked it the previous night.
They claimed books, paintings and pot plants were strewn over the floor, empty toilets were flushing, and there were the sounds of canine snuffling noises, although there was no dog on the premises.
Meanwhile, an electric typewriter was working on its own but printing characters upside down. Staff were so frightened by this scene that they fled the building.
