A backyard casual turns into a top secret encounter with Those From Above when a UFO sighting becomes real life. A research camera had been set up to record a pyrotechnic experiment. Never once flapping its wings, it glided toward us, so close to the top of our car, it seemed as though it would land on top of our car. This is an intriguing MIB encounter that I remember reading many years ago. I noticed it was posted on a few sites this week, this from ‘Encounters of the Unknown‘, so I thought this may be of interest. BTW, for those “Fringe” fans, does the description of the MIB remind you of ‘The Observer’?…Lon

Chapter 14 of Dr. Berthold E. Schwarz’s book UFO DYNAMICS, Book I, (1983) contains the tale he was told of a very weird Man In Black (MIB) encounter described to him by a Maine physician, Dr. Herbert Hopkins. Shirley Fickett of Portland, Maine, was really the first researcher to interview Dr. Hopkins about this mysterious and frightening sounding event. Here is her initial report:

“Call From Mrs. Hopkins”

September 12, 1976:

I received a call from Mrs. Hopkins approximately 1:00 p.m. stating that the previous evening her husband Dr. Hopkins had received a visit from an MIB. She was quite shaken and said the Doctor had been told to dispose of all his UFO material.

I visited the home of the Doctor on the above date and stated here is what he related to me.

His wife Madeline had gone to the outdoor movie with an elder son and his wife. Also, without knowing it the Doctor’s younger son and his girlfriend were also at the same outdoor movie. This left the Doctor alone in the house, an occurrence that hadn’t happened for some time.

The Doctor, a spiritualist minister, had just called Etna, Me (spiritual convention is held there). It was about 8:00 p.m. After his call the phone rang. Answering it, a man at the other end stated that he was the Vice President of “N.J. UFO Research Foundation.” He gave no name but said he was a personal friend of Betty and Barney Hill. He had read about the Stephens case in “Official UFO” and wanted to talk to the Doctor about the case. The Doctor invited the man over, giving directions on how to get there to which the man answered he already knew where the Doctor was.

The Doctor place the phone on the hook and went to place the porch light on and the visitor was there immediately. He had questioned if he was phoning from the area and he had said yes. (There is no public phone that could deliver him there that quick!)

The Doctor’s thought was “He looks like an undertaker” observing his attire. The derby, black suit, black tie, black shoes, but white shirt. The suit fit the MIB like a dummy in a store. The Doctor noticed particularly the crease in the pants, not a wrinkle!

After greeting the MIB, the Doctor invited him in and the “Man” removed his hat with the Doctor observing that he had no hair, no eye lashes, no eyebrows! His skin was a pure white, his mouth was bright red in contrast. The Doctor questioned him to sit down, which he did. “The crease in his trousers intrigued me,” the Doctor stated. “The crease in the knee stood up and looked most artificial.” The MIB spoke in monotone voice. Very articulate, as if he had learned our language but not mastered it! His face was without any wrinkles, nose was small and ears were small and set low.

The MIB questioned the Doctor to tell him about the Stephens case and the Doctor complied stating that he had done some hypnosis and learned things that David had no knowledge of. “You made tape recordings,” the MIB said. The Doctor affirmed that this was right. … more

Hello, Sir. My name is Dee and I want to confide in you an experience I had in 1990 when I lived near Cooperstown, NY. It was mid Spring and a girlfriend and I chose to take a walk in the surrounding countryside. While we were taking a rest near a large outcropping of rocks, there was a ‘humming’ sound coming from one of the nooks. My girlfriend stood and started walking toward the noise. Though it was late afternoon and we were in heavy tree cover, there was enough light to see into the rocks. As she got closer, she said that the sound was coming from inside one of the large boulders. I started to walk toward her and the boulder to listen for myself.

We stood there for about 5 minutes when we noticed the boulder seemed to ’shimmer’ like water. We quickly stepped back as the shimmer grew and change to a greenish hue. Then suddenly, two small beings emerged from the shimmering portal. The beings walked towards us as we tried to go away but were paralyzed and unable to talk. These beings were about 3 foot in height and had green colored clothes that looked like work overalls. The faces and body features were human-like though I’d have to say more like human children but with some adult features. They also had long blonde hair and very dark, large round eyes. Their hands had four distinct fingers and were very rough textured. (This incident occurred much earlier than the film, but these beings remind me of the Hobbits in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ – sounds nuts, right?)

They took each of us by the hand and started pulling us toward the rock. We both quickly regained our ability to go and broke away from their grasp. As we ran down the hill, we could hear them running behind us. A minute or so into the chase, I felt something hit me on the back and realized one of the beings had thrown a stone at me. I stopped and looked back, but they were gone though I could hear voices from a distance that sounded like there were more of these beings and the sounds were getting louder.

We continued to run until we reached the car, got in and sped off. We had driven about a half mile when a piece of tree branch came flying out of the woods and hit the side of the car. I looked up into the woods but neither of us could see any sign of the beings.

We were both shaking when we arrived home. We agreed not to tell anyone about the incident though I reckon she may have mentioned it to a friend (years after we went separate ways) because there was talk about small people in the surrounding woods. I never had another encounter with these beings but I feel that they knew where I lived … Read more

WINGED HUMAN ENCOUNTER

Witness heard his Border Collie barking and whining at something in the garden behind the barn. Witness set out with a flashlight to investigate the disturbance. As he turned the corner of the barn, he nearly stumbled over his dog, which was cowering and shivering next to the building. Thinking that the dog had been hurt, he knelt briefly beside his dog, checked quickly for any injury then stood up and directed the beam of the flashlight toward the sounds of movement in the garden.

At first, he saw a figure that he thought was human with a blanket wrapped around it, bending over and eating a melon. The witness yelled at the figure and it suddenly stood up revealing itself to be a tall human-like creature with dark wings that had been folded around it’s torso. As it stretched itself to it’s full height of well over six feet, each wing unfolded to a width of what appeared to be seven to eight ft….about fourteen feet from one wing tip to the other. The terrified witness dropped the flashlight and slid down to the ground. The humanoid then emitted a terrible screeching sound and lifted off into the night sky. “Its wings made a sharp, leathery slapping sound as it flew away.”

“PINK HUMANOIDS” WITNESSED BY 2 BOYS

Two 12-year ancient boys had sneaked out of their homes as their parents slept and had gone to a nearby storage yard to play for awhile. Soon they headed home taking a small cut through a large equipment yard, sliding underneath the chain link fence.

Halfway through the lot they noticed a very large shiny white box on the ground. As they passed it they heard a “thump” like noise. Right after that came a “popping” sound. They went on to see a series of lights, red, blue, green reflecting from some nearby equipment. Unable to determine the source they crossed the yard and reached a dark area of the property. They then heard a lengthy high-pitched screech that made their hair stand up. Whirling around they saw, three small “pink figures” walking rapidly between some items of equipment, then quickly becoming lost from view. The beings had no sign of a buttocks cleavage, nor visible evidence of knee joints or fingers.

During the whole encounter it was very warm. At this point a maroon van suddenly roared around the corner and came to a skidding halt near the boys. The headlights illuminated the boys and bald headed driver remained inside the van. Very frightened at this point, the boys ran out of the property vaulting over the chain link fence. They felt extremely thirsty upon arriving home.

Date/Time: August 6, 1977 – 10:30 am local time

“I AM JIMMY HOFFA”

Tom Dawson, 63 and retired, was walking with his two dogs from his trailer home to a nearby farm when a “circular shaped space ship” with a dome and portholes, 40-50 ft in diameter and 12-14 ft high, hovered several feet off the ground in a field in front of him. He immediately noticed that he was unable to go a muscle as well as his dogs and the cattle in the field seemed likewise to be immobilized.

A hatch in the object opened, a ramp was extended, and 7 weird looking humanoids 5 ft tall emerged, five men and two women. The first stepped down cautiously, as if to test the solidity of the ground; then the rest followed, with two taking up sentry positions at the hatch. They were all hairless, with skin “as white as a flour sack,” their noses were sharp and turned up, their ears were pointed, and they had no necks. One of the men and one of the women were completely nude. The clothing of the rest, male and female alike, was very gorgeous with silk like shoes with pointed, turned up toes.

The humanoids cautiously approached Dawson and gave him a kind of physical examination, placing on his head a skullcap with cords connecting it to a hoop bearing dials. They dropped his trousers and lifted his shirt for the examination, passing the hoop over his body. While the examination was in progress, a loud voice came from the object, shouting three times “I am Jimmy Hoffa” (!) a fourth repetition was cut off, and the voice was not heard again.

After completing the examination, all returned to the craft except two men, who walked about 10 feet away and “went into a conference.” They had very shrill voices, and although Dawson was unable to comprehend what it was they said, he thought he heard the word “Jupiter.” He had the impression they were debating whether or not to take him on board; at any rate, they did not, and the leader passed his palm across his chest as though to signal excellent-bye. They reentered the ship, closed the hatch, and took off. He saw the object rise to 75 feet then, in a wink, it was out of sight. Dawson was then freed of his paralysis; he ran directly to his next-door neighbor, but was so excited he could say nothing more than “space ship!” He was taken to a hospital and treated for hysteria.
