Several Witnesses Report Flashing Object Near Moon – 1/11/10
by admin on Jan.14, 2010, under Phantoms & Monsters
MUFON witness report: Arizona – 01-11-10 – Flashing Object near Moon – My 17-year-ancient daughter was taking me into work so she could drive to school that day. I am very observant of the skies these days, I looked at the crescent moon and yelled at Alicia to look.
I questioned her if she saw the flashing star on the tip of the crescent moon and she did, we pulled over on the shoulder of the road and I told her to start taking pictures.
I called my girlfriend whom I was going to give her a ride to work too, and told her what I was seeing and to go look at the moon. I questioned my daughter if the flashing star looked red to her, and she said yes.
We drove very slowly down the mountain and I took pics with my cell phone too. When we got down to the bottom of the mountain the star appeared to be further away from the tip of the crescent moon and it was a white star.
I went to work and looked out on … read more …

Russia Claims Huge Spiral Over Norway Was Due to Failed Missile Launch
by admin on Dec.12, 2009, under Interesting Stories, Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories
Observers in northern Norway Wednesday morning witnessed a bizarre spiral appear in the sky at around 7:49 a.m. They first saw a blue light soar up from over a mountain to a north. The light then paused in midair and started circling. Before long, like the closing scene from the Japanese horror film Uzumaki, a massive spiral had filled the air.
Then came a brilliant beam of green-blue light which shot out of the center and lasted 10 to 12 minutes, before suddenly vanishing. Citizens described the bizarre sighting to be like “like a huge fireball that went around, with a fantastic light around it” and “a shooting star that spun around and around”.
Totto Eriksen, from Troms?, was walking his daughter Amelie to school when he spotted the weird spectacle. He describes to VG Nett, “It spun and exploded in the sky. We saw it from the Inner Harbor in Troms?. It was absolutely fantastic. It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain, but then came something completely different”
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooding by calls from concerned citizens wonder what a logical explanation of the phenomena might be. Celebrity astronomer Knut J?rgen R?ed ?degaard’s early guess later proved prophetic. He postulated, “My first thought was that it was a fireball meteor, but it has lasted far too long. It may have been a missile in Russia, but I can not guarantee that it is the answer.”
A British engineer named Doug Ellison, an animator and multimedia producer for a medical firm in Leicester, jumped in offering a 3D simulation that similarly suggested the bizarre light show was the result of a failed launch. He made a simulation in 3D Studio Max of a spinning box, which produced a similar spiral trail.
Mr. Ellison, who runs the forum unmannedspaceflight.com describes, “Once I saw the photos, and knowing a honest amount about space flight, the cause of the gorgeous pattern seemed quite obvious to me. Trying to clarify it in layman’s terms is quite hard, so I used some basic animation tools to try and emulate the effect. I bolted two virtual particle emitters onto a small box – spun the box, then went it at speed and low and behold, the spiral pattern, and the trail behind, both emerged as a result. The people in northern Norway are lucky to have been in the right place, at the right time!”
Indeed, on Thursday the Russian newspaper Vedomosti cited a military source as saying the phenomenon was caused by a failed test launch of a intercontinental missile, dubbed Bulava. Past launches had failed on the first stage, but this launch reportedly went off without a hitch, before experiencing the weird failure on the third stage.
The Russia armed forces initially denied these reports. But, another source, stationed in Severodvinsk, told newspaper Kommersant that the Russian nuclear sub “Dmitri Donskoy” launched Monday for a program of test launches at sea. The “Dmitri Donskoy” is reportedly the only sub capable of launching the Bulava missile.
On Thursday, more than 24 hours after the incident Russia chose to take responsibility for the incident. The Ministry of Defense’s press service told ITAR-TSS that the weird show was indeed generated by a third stage failure of the missile.
There are still unexplained details about the event that are sure to excite conspiracy theorists. First of all the blue-green light would suggest the presence of copper(II) chloride in the rocket flame. But, copper chloride, while commonly used in pyrotechnics, isn’t hasn’t traditionally been used in rocket fuel (though it has been reportedly investigated as a catalyst in propellant reactions). Also weird is that a similar spiral and explosion occurred over China last year, according to the Daily Mail. If it was indeed the third stage that caused the scene over Norway, and no previous launch had made it past the first stage, it’s unclear what might have caused the similar scene in China.

Classic Saucer filmed

I walked outside to see if my dog was barking at a brown snake (deadly snake here in Australia) as it was about 40 degrees Celsius that day and it really brings the snakes out in the open.
As soon as I stepped outside my dog became really silent and huddled up in the corner of his couch on the veranda. I immediately noticed the shiny metallic saucer in the sky, hovering above the grape vines, which expand beyond the green fence seen in the videos…
I honestly at first thought it was some kind of balloon, much like the balloon in the “Balloon hoax” that happened in America lately with the boy. I just stood there transfixed on this thing hovering, the sight of it had completely shocked my mind and my heart was beating a million miles an hour once I had realized it wasn’t acting at all like a balloon.
It had a slight waver to it, so it wasn’t really still while hovering, ever so slightly wobbling but you can’t really see this in the video’s due to the typical quality of a mobile phone. (The craft was also a lot shinier in real life, the hot sun was really beating off the top of the craft while the underbelly was in shadow, also wasn’t really picked up by the camera quality)
It started to go off to the left as I was filming, and it’s weird for me to reckon back it all seems like such a blur now… I could have sworn I was breathing heavy and swearing out loud at the excitement and total SHOCK at what I was seeing and filming. But when I look back at the video strangely enough I wasn’t making any sound whatsoever.
I was home alone that day, except for my dog. I do remember the whole time my mind was screaming at me to race inside and look for my dad’s video camera to get some better footage, but just did not have the courage to leave in case I got back outside and it was gone. (This is precisely what happened when I DID make myself go to get the camera, which I never did find because my dad had it in his ute after a trip up north of Australia)
In the video “Multiple Objects” you will see the saucer go to the left, a small object was rising up from the grape vines below and heading up towards the saucer.
It was at this point I raced inside to find dad’s camera)…. Came back outside and there was absolutely no trace of anything. Just gone.
It is my theory that whoever was inside this thing was paying a general interest in the watering of the grape vines below, and had sent out it’s smaller orb or whatever the heck it was to check it out, collect water, study the grapes, I don’t really know..
Looking back I really wish I had stepped out off the veranda and shown some reference points as to where I was and where the craft was in the sky, I can see now why in so many UFO videos the camera operator is just glued to where they are, nearly in an altered state from what is before them in the sky.

READER QUESTION: What is the apparition’s message?
by admin on Nov.28, 2009, under Paranormal & Unexplained stories
“My mother, who has been sick these past three years, says she was seeing people in her room,” says Rosalva. “She would see a tall man with a flower, which he would throw on her bed. She tried to wake up my father, but by then the man would be gone. After a few days, the same man appeared, but shorter and with a dozen roses. We used to reckon that it was because of her medication, but not long ago, the tall man appeared again and this time my mother woke my father and he saw the ghost. My mother doesn’t feel frightened by the ghosts, but she thinks that they are trying to tell her something. We want to know what’s going on.”
Rosalva, I certainly know why you at first thought it was your mother’s medication that was responsible for the things she was seeing. That was my initial reaction, too, until you revealed that your father was able to see the very same apparition…. Read the rest of my response.
