Halo 2: Mystery Cloud Returns

by admin on Feb.22, 2010, under Latest News, UFO Videos, UFO phenomenon

The Sun reports:

THIS mysterious cloud halo has been spotted over Mexico — sparking fears of an Independence Day style alien attack.
The astonishing ring was spotted over the central American state and video of it was posted on the internet — prompting speculation its cause was extra-terrestrial.

It is the SECOND time such an incredible sighting has been seen — after The Sun revealed one was recorded in skies over Moscow last October.

Scores of supernatural enthusiasts have been gripped by the astonishing footage and speculated it could be an ALIEN MOTHERSHIP.

Others believe it could be a porthole for UFOs to enter or leave the Earth’s atmosphere.

Attack … Independence Day alien assault

Or that a meteorite pierced through a cloud before crashing to Earth.

The sighting in the clouds is reminiscent of scenes from the 1996 Hollywood blockbuster Independence Day.

The circular white cloud was filmed against a blue sky was taken in Mexico on February 11 according to the YouTube post.

A message on the video sharing website reads: “Incredible footage shows what may have been a UFO entering or leaving our Earth.”

Speculation

It has been described as a “right mystery” by a UFO expert Nick Pope – who investigated the phenomena for the Ministry of Defence.

He added: “It’s incredible. The similarity with the so-called halo cloud seen recently over Russia is striking. One possibility is that a meteorite or fireball punched through the cloud.

“This could clarify the weird sound reported and the fact that a crater was apparently found.

First sighting … Moscow halo
“Speculation is rife on the internet – aliens, secret weather modification technology, or even some distortion of reality, caused by the Large Hadron Collider.”

Even weather experts have been left dumbfounded by the extraordinary sighting.

A Met office investigator examined the freak sighting and said its cause is “unknown”.

Sarah Holland, Met Office spokesman, said: “This is what is called a fallstreak cloud, otherwise known as a holepunch cloud.

“It’s where patches of high cloud formed by super-cooled water freeze and fall away as ice crystals leaving a visible gap in the cloud layer.

“Aircraft exhausts could play a part in the freezing process but the precise cause is unknown.”

Video of the Moscow halo became an internet sensation attracting more than a MILLION hits.

But Russian weather experts claimed it may have been due to several weather fronts colliding over Moscow.

Needles California UFO Sighting 05/14/2008

by admin on Dec.14, 2009, under UFO Videos

A large object with a turquoise hue plummeted out of the sky earlier this summer and plowed into the earth south of Las Vegas near Needles, California. Eyewitnesses say this was no meteorite, especially since a bunch of helicopters came looking for it and then hauled it away. The object was seen in the early morning hours of May 14. It appeared to crash into the ground just west of the Colorado River. And that’s when things got fascinating for residents of the area. Somewhere in the rough …

MARS: Reconnaissance Orbiter Discovers Ice On The Red Planet!

by admin on Nov.24, 2009, under Latest News

Following the discovery of water molecules across the moon’s surface, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) produced the following video that also reveals and illustrates the large quantities of frozen water in five Martian craters where recent meteorite crashes churned up underground ice that quickly vanished into the planet’s thin atmosphere. This discovery was made by the high resolution Context camera abroad the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and officially reported by Mars researchers and scientists based at the University of Arizona’s Luna and Planetary Science Laboratory.

The Context camera snapped pictures of fascinating dark spots on the planet a year ago of small craters newly formed by the impact of meteorites. Images of one of the new craters revealed that its edge was filled with bright blue material bright in the sunlight looking exactly like ice. The orbiting spacecraft’s spectral analyzer later learned that the ice was 99 percent pure water, blasted up around the crater from deeper underground. The icy craters are about halfway between the planet’s North Pole and its equator.

Last year, the Phoenix spacecraft, after a cliff-hanger landing near the north polar cap of Mars, scraped away an inch or two of sand and detected what appeared to be the surface of a lake of somewhat dirty ice.

“Mazsalaca meteorite” in Latvia – marketing hoax by Tele2

by admin on Oct.27, 2009, under Latest News, UFO phenomenon

Meteriote in Latvia is man-made by TELE2 “Mazsalaca meteorite” was really a hoax designed by the telecommunication company Tele2, as the company’s marketing director Janis Sprogis acknowledged to LETA.

“Our goal is to inspire the people of Latvia,” Sprogis said.

“As we can see, with this Latvia made the news all over the world, everyone wants to know about Latvia, and this is not because of the crisis, the hard times and so, but because there is something creative and exciting happening here. It is a unique achievement and part of our communication,” said Sprogis.

Sprogis also said that Tele2 would compensate all the losses that the state has sustained.

As reported, the “Mazsalaca meteorite” is in the news all over the world, diverting global attention from Latvia’s economic troubles. Mass media in countries near and far are reporting about the “Latvian meteorite”, pointing out that the town of Mazsalaca has become an overnight celebrity.

Several publications write that a space satellite fragment could have made the crater, and a few others even mention unidentified flying objects.

Police officers as well as researchers and geologists from not only Latvia but also other countries worked at the scene all day, concluding that the crater was a man-made hole.

Geologist: Mazsalaca “meteorite” in Latvia is man-made

by admin on Oct.26, 2009, under Latest News

North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve geologist Dainis Ozols has concluded that the object in Mazsalaca, thought to be a meteorite, is merely smoky ember of chemical elements and the wide crater around it is in fact man-made.

Ozols arrived at the location, where the alleged meteorite had fallen, at 9 a.m. today, as the geologist informed LETA. He established that the 10-12 meters wide depression in land surface was artificially made and afterwards potassium nitrate and sulphur were burned there.

The geologist believes that somebody merely wanted to pull a prank, therefore burned the chemical elements, filmed the scene and spread information about an alleged meteorite having fallen. The crater itself, but, in Ozols’ opinion, was made for other purposes. It must have taken a lot of effort to dig it; in case the crater was really dug by the prankster who burned the chemical elements in it, then he should have tried a bit harder to imitate a blast caused by a meteorite, the geologist said.

The geologist did not take samples of the ember yet because he is now on a two-day excursion with his pupils, but, he does admit that later on he might examine it closer to find out precisely what was burning in the hole.

On the other and, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center’s head of geology department Uldis Nulle believes the object that made the crater, really was a meteorite. He reports from the scene that, as a result of collision with earth surface, the meteorite made an oval hole, approximately 8.5 meters to 9 meters in diameter, it is around three meters deep, as LETA found out from the Environment Ministry’s information department.

Additionally, the collision has made the earth surface around the hole go up approximately one meter high. Geologist Nulle says that the signs show evidence of a major impact force. The crater, in its deepest point, has a diameter of approximately one meter, and has dark gray and black sediment, as well as signs of melting substance.

Nulle reports that, according to his estimates, the meteorite his the earth surface nearly in straight 90 degrees angle. Furthermore, even over six hours after the collision, a smell of sulfur could be sensed in the vicinity of the hole.

As reported, University of Latvia Astronomy Institute expert Ilgonis Vilks already expressed doubt about the origin of the object claimed to be meteorite. He was surprised finding out about fire burning in the crater, as usually after colliding with earth surface, meteorites explode and their pieces are scattered in various directions.

A group of four experts, two geologists and two astronomers, has departed for Mazsalaca to examine the scene.
