UFO Spotted over Chicago

by admin on Feb.16, 2010, under UFO phenomenon

One of our readers has sent me a report of the sighting of an unidentified flying object with photograph. This sighting took place in Chicago, IL, on September 13, 2009. Our submitter, along with several of his friends, watched a red-colored object sit in mid air on the north side of Chicago.

One photograph was taken, but it does not do justice to what was observed for over an hour. Check out the full details of the report at UFO over Chicago, 2009, and be sure to comment as you wish.

Eight UFO sightings  that generate buzz

by admin on Jan.20, 2010, under Latest News

UFO investigators see references to rocket ships, aliens and astronauts that go back to the days when humans first place chisel and paintbrush to rock. More than 6,000 years later, objects that are unidentified – at least at first – continue to appear in the skies and generate buzz.

Take, for example, the blazing pinwheel that appeared in Norwegian skies in December 2009, shown here. The sight sparked speculation that aliens were sending earthlings a signal. Other researchers speculated – and the Russian military later confirmed – that a missile failed.

NBC space analyst James Oberg says the incident fits into a long tradition of UFO sightings over Russia that are caused by secret military and space activities. Even when there’s a prosaic explanation for the sightings, they can provide useful information about covert activities.

Did missile test spark Chinese UFO reports?

by admin on Jan.16, 2010, under Latest News

Visitors pass by a Chinese missile on show at a military museum in Beijing. China has said it successfully tested a missile intercept system, in what analysts said was a show of its advanced air defense capabilities. In an ironic encore, yet another secret military missile test — this time, in China — has sparked widespread UFO reports from surprised ground witnesses.

John E Mack – Experiencers

by admin on Dec.26, 2009, under Latest News, UFO Videos, UFO phenomenon

John E Mack – Experiencers

Dr. John E. Mack appears only briefly in this film, his death having occurred soon after production started. More substantial are visits to the New England countryside with experiencers, including one couple who videotaped an unidentified flying object hovering above a lake a few hours before they were abducted from their lakeside cottage. Also in this film, is the New York artist and alien encounter investigator Budd Hopkins.

Although this documentary is similar to other documentaries commonly seen on American cable television, it has a more leisurely pace and gives more time for the experiencers to clarify themselves than is commonly granted in US productions. One of the best interviews in the program is not with an experiencer at all, but rather with the husband of an experiencer, who matter-of-factly clarifies how his family has come to terms with his wifes experiences.

Cosmic Log: Light show sparks UFO buzz

by admin on Dec.10, 2009, under Interesting Stories, Latest News, Paranormal & Unexplained stories, UFO Videos, UFO phenomenon

A spectacular light show visible from northern Norway has energized the UFO crowd. Was that blazing pinwheel in the sky a signal from the aliens? Was it a practice run for an elaborate worldwide messianic hoax?

You’d expect the experts to come out with a less sensational explanation, and they have: They suggest that the show was caused by a Russian submarine-launched missile that went into a midair spin, causing a spiral-shaped rocket plume.

The glowing spiral, with a bluish column of smoke trailing down toward the horizon, was seen in eastern skies early this morning from a wide area of northern Norway. Photos and video clips of the show quickly proliferated – first in Norwegian news media, then around the world via the Internet. For a sampling, check out NRK, The Daily Mail and SpaceWeather.com.

The effect looks nearly too excellent to be real, and tabloids floated some out-of-this-world suggestions for its cause – such as a previously unknown manifestation of the Northern Lights, a black hole or a “Stargate” to another dimension.

A former UFO analyst for the British Ministry of Defense, Nick Pope, was mystified by the flare-up. “It’s ironic that something like this should happen the very week after the [Ministry of Defense] terminated its UFO project,” he told The Sun. “It just goes to show how incorrect that choice was.”

Russia Today’s video clip about the sightings, posted to YouTube, was headlined “UFO show in Norway sky welcomes Obama for Nobel Prize ceremony.”

One Internet forum debated whether the fireworks were a test run for “Project Bluebeam,” which supposedly involves making huge projections in the sky that show scenes of the Second Coming or an alien invasion. The hoax would clear the way for a one-world government to take over – well, at least that’s what the conspiracy theorists reckon.

Russian and Norwegian news reports gave strong support to the missile hypothesis. The Infox.ru news site and Norway’s Barents Observer  referred to Russian advisories about missile test launches that were to take place around the time of the sighting.

“The missile was most likely yet another failed test launch of a Bulava missile from the Typhoon submarine Dmitry Donskoy in the White Sea area,” the Barents Observer said. A similar phenomenon was spotted a month ago, but without the spectacular spiral.

Over at the Terrible Astronomy blog, Phil Plait points out that a simulation of particles being spewed out from a spinning rocket booster can produce an effect that looks much like the Norwegian sighting.

NBC News space analyst James Oberg, an expert on UFO sightings as well as the Russian space program, says the missile spin is a plausible explanation.

“But it is still not clear that the missile really failed. … Spiral rocket plumes are also made by rocket stages spinning to make gyroscopic stability,” Oberg said in an e-mail. “Also, Norwegian observers were looking ‘up the tailpipe’ of the rocket as it sped eastward, away from them – so even a slight thrusting wobble might manifest itself as an expanding spiral, exactly what was seen.”

Oberg noted that the Bulava missile has been at the center of a Russian military scandal. “The continuing failures of its test program in the past two years is putting the Russian nuclear weapons retaliatory capability in doubt as older missiles degrade in their silos and the replacement missile is still years from deployment,” he said.

So what does the Russian military have to say? Not much. “On this matter we do not confirm, we do not deny, we do not comment,” a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman told Infox.ru.

If the spiral in the sky really was a missile failure, Moscow’s higher-ups just might prefer to have the world reckon it was a UFO.

Covert projects description ( Part 1 )

by admin on Dec.10, 2009, under Latest News, UFO Videos, UFO phenomenon

MK ultra: Wikipedia

Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA mind-control and chemical interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence. This official U.S. government program started in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used United States citizens as its test subjects.[1][2][3] The published evidence indicates that Project MK-ULTRA involved the surreptitious use of many types of drugs, as well as other methods, to manipulate individual mental states and to alter brain function.
Project MK-ULTRA was first brought to wide public attention in 1975 by the U.S. Congress, through investigations by the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission. Investigative efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MK-ULTRA files ruined in 1973; the Church Committee and Rockefeller Commission investigations relied on the sworn testimony of direct participants and on the relatively small number of documents that survived Helms’ destruction order.[4]
Although the CIA insists that MK-ULTRA-type experiments have been abandoned, 14-year CIA veteran Victor Marchetti has stated in various interviews that the CIA routinely conducts disinformation campaigns and that CIA mind control research continued. In a 1977 interview, Marchetti specifically called the CIA claim that MK-ULTRA was abandoned a “cover tale.

Project Twinkle

Project Twinkle, a U.S. Air Force study to investigate the mysterious Green fireballs of the late 1940s
Green fireballs are a type of unidentified flying object which have been sighted in the sky since the late 1940s[citation needed]. Early sightings primarily occurred in the southwestern United States, particularly in New Mexico.[1][2][3] They were once of notable concern to the US government because they were often clustered around sensitive research and military installations, such as Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratory, then Sandia base.[1][2][3] Furthermore, the weird green balls of light appeared suddenly and were reported many times per month near such New Mexico installations, but hardly anywhere else[citation needed].
Meteor expert Dr. Lincoln LaPaz headed much of the investigation into the fireballs on behalf of the military. LaPaz’s conclusion was that the objects showed too many anomalous characteristics to be a type of meteor and instead were artificial, perhaps secret Russian spy devices. The green fireballs were seen by so many people of high repute[citation needed], including LaPaz and scientists at Los Alamos, that everybody agreed they were a real phenomenon[citation needed]. Secret conferences were convened at Los Alamos to study the phenomenon[citation needed] and in Washington by the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.[1][2][3][4]
In December 1949 Project Twinkle, a network of green fireball observation and photographic stations, was established but never fully implemented. It was discontinued two years later, with the official conclusion that the phenomenon was probably natural in origin, a hypothesis disputed by LaPaz and others.[5]
Green fireballs have been prescribed natural, man-made, and even alien origins and have since become associated with both the Cold War and ufology.[1][2][3] Because of the extensive government paper trail on the phenomenon, many ufologists consider the green fireballs to be among the best documented examples of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

Montauk Project

Conspiracy theories about the Montauk Project have circulated since the early 1980s. According to astrophysicist and UFO researcher Jacques Vallee, the Montauk Experiment tales seem to have originated with the account of Preston nicyhds, who claimed to have recovered repressed memories of his own involvement. [1]

There is no definitive version of the Montauk Project narrative, but the most common accounts describe it as an extension or a continuation of the Philadelphia Experiment, alleged to have taken place in 1943. According to proponents, the Philadelphia Experiment supposedly aimed to render the USS Eldridge invisible to radar detection with disastrous results. Surviving researchers from the Philadelphia Experiment met in 1952-1953 with the aim of continuing their earlier work on manipulating the “electromagnetic shielding” that had been used to make the USS Eldridge invisible to radar and to the naked eye, and they wished to investigate the possible military applications of magnetic field manipulation as a means of psychological warfare.

Common versions of the tale have the researchers’ initial proposals rebuffed by the United States Congress due to fears over the potential dangers of the research. Instead, the researchers bypass Congress and receive support from the Department of Defense, after promising the development of a weapon that could instantly trigger psychotic symptoms. The conspiracy theory relates that the funding came from a large cache of Nazi gold found in a train by U.S. soldiers near the Swiss border in France. Proponents allege that the train was ruined, and all the soldiers involved in the discovery were killed as part of a coverup.

Various conspiracy theorists claim that experiments started in earnest from 1982 through to 1987-1988. They claim that during this time one, some or all of the following occurred at the site. The following claims are entirely unverified:

  • Experiments were conducted in teleportation, parallel dimensions and time travel.
  • On or about on August 12, 1983 the time travel project at Camp Hero interlocked in hyperspace with the original Project Rainbow back in 1943. The USS Eldridge was drawn into hyperspace and trapped there. Two men, Al Bielek and Duncan Cameron both claim to have leaped from the deck of the USS Eldridge while it was in hyperspace and finished up after a period of severe disorientation at Camp Hero in the year 1983 at Montauk Point. Here they claim to have met John von Neumann, a well-known physicist and mathematician, even though he died in 1957. John Von Neumann had supposedly worked on the original Philadelphia Experiment, but the United States Navy denies this.
  • A “porthole (portal) in time” was made which allowed researchers to travel anywhere in time or space. This was developed into a stable “Time Tunnel.” Underground tunnels with abandoned cultural archives were explored on Mars using this technique where apparently some kind of “Martians” had once lived many thousands and thousands of years earlier.
  • Contact was made with alien extraterrestrials through the Time Tunnel and advanced kinds of ‘etheric technology’ was exchanged with them which enhanced the Montauk Project. This allowed broader access to hyperspace. Stewart Swerdlow also developed the “language of hyperspace”, utilizing archetypes and glyphs as well as colour and tone, in other words, a “non-linguistic language”, the language of the Creator, that is God itself. But many researchers have questioned the validity of Swerdlow and what he really did within the Montauk Project.
  • Enrico Chekov, a Spanish-Russian dissident, reported in 1988, after defecting to America, that satellite surveillance captured during the 1970s showed the formation of a large bubble of space-time centered on the site, lending further support to the D1 Base Time Tunnel research. After Chekov shared photographs with a reporter from the The New York Times, his apartment in Manhattan was burgled and the photos were all that was taken.
  • People had their psychic abilities enhanced to the point where they could materialize objects out of thin air. Stewart Swerdlow claims to have been involved in the Montauk Project, and as a result, he says, his “psionic” faculties were boosted, but at the cost of emotional and psychological instability, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other issues, including being programmed with microchips, and also through the use of “psychotronic mind control”. An alien supposedly designed a chair, which an individual could sit in to boost his mental and precipatory powers. A prototype duplicate was given to Britain and place in a facility on the River Thames.
  • The facility was expanded to as many as twelve levels and several hundred workers. Some reports have the facility extending under the town of Montauk itself and interconnected with vast maglev tunnel networks to other “Deep Underground Military Bases”, also known as “D1 Bases”.
  • Nikola Tesla, whose death was faked in a conspiracy, was the chief director of operations at the base (which if they started in the 80s would make him 120+).
  • Mass psychological experiments, such as the use of enormous subliminal messages projects and the creation of a “Men in Black” corps to confuse and frighten the public, were invented there.

After funding was in place, work allegedly started at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on Long Island, New York under the name of the “Phoenix Project”, but the project soon required a large and advanced radar dish. The United States Air Force had a decommissioned base at Montauk, New York, not far from BNL, which had a complete SAGE radar installation. The site was large and remote, with Montauk Point not yet a tourist attraction. Water access supposedly allowed equipment to be went in and out undetected. Key to the Montauk Project allegations, the SAGE radar worked on a frequency of 400 MHz – 425 MHz, providing access to the range of 410 MHz – 420 MHz signals said by theory proponents to influence the human mind.

Equipment was went to Camp Hero at Montauk AFS in 1967-1968, and installed in a “Deep Underground Military Base” that the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) were redeveloping and expanding beneath Montauk AFS on the surface at Montauk Point. According to conspiracy theorists, to mask the nature of the project the site was closed in 1969 and donated as a wildlife refuge, with the provision that everything underground within the “D1 Base” would remain the property of the United States Air Force.

But, Montauk AFS remained in operation until the early 1980s. The site was opened to the public on September 18, 2002 as Camp Hero State Park. The radar tower has been placed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. There are plans for a museum and interpretive center, focusing on World War II and Cold War-era history.
